Catalog description
This course provides an overview of key theories and competencies related to public sector budgeting and finance. Specifically, the course examines the political nature of public budgeting, expenditures and revenue sources and the budgeting process at the local level of government, including the politics of budget allocation. Students will apply the skills learned in the course by conducting an analysis of a budget under development in a local government entity. Approved for distance education.
