Maternal Child Nursing Clinical and Simulation

Catalog description

Students will examine the concepts of care related to the mother, infant, and child. The family unit, growth and development, health and wellness, reproduction/sexuality, patient-centered care, and EBP will be explored in a multicultural society. Social determinants of health, equity, health care policies, economics, safety, communication, community, and public health will be discussed. Clinical judgment skills will be developed in the simulation laboratory setting and/or clinical setting. Extra Fee. Prerequisite(s): First and Second Semester in Nursing Major. Corequisite(s): Third Semester in Nursing Major.
