Catalog description
Students will examine the concepts of care related to the mother, infant, and child. The family unit, growth and development, health and wellness, reproduction/sexuality, patient-centered care, and EBP will be explored in a multi-cultural society. Social determinants of health, equity, health care policies, economics, safety, communication, community, and public health will be discussed. Clinical judgment skills will continue to be developed in the classroom setting. Approved for distance education. Prerequisite(s): First and Second Semester in Nursing Major. Corequisite(s): Third Semester in Nursing Major.
