Catalog description

The student will examine the role of the nurse leader. Quality and safety to achieve optimal patient outcomes will be explored using clinical judgment skills. Concepts integral to the nurse leader such as licensure, certification, ANA Scope and Standards of Practice, QSEN competencies, accreditation, delegation, accountability, professionalism, social justice, integrity, human dignity, autonomy, altruism, conflict resolution, and interprofessionalism will be evaluated. Approved for distance education. Prerequisite(s): First and Second Semester in Nursing Major. Corequisite(s): Third Semester in Nursing Major.
