Catalog description

In this course the student will explore the concepts of mood and cognition within individuals, families, and communities. Maladaptive behaviors, coping skills, therapeutic communication, and therapies will be explored. Students will build upon previously learned concepts of therapeutic communication, ethics, economics, health care policy and regulations, equity, social determinants, EBP, health and wellness, and patient-centered care. Clinical judgment skills will continue to be fostered in the classroom setting. Approved for distance education. Prerequisite(s): Junior Level, BSN 1 Courses. Corequisite(s): Junior Level, BSN 2 Courses.
