Catalog description

Examine caring and therapeutic communication with individuals, families, and communities, as well as effective communication in interprofessional collaborations. Verbal, written, and electronic communication will be explored. Professionalism, scope and standards of practice, delegation, altruism, ethics, responsibility, accountability, and safe/quality patient care will be examined. Teaching and learning concepts through verbal, written, and technological methods will be discussed. Clinical judgement skills will continue to be developed in the classroom setting. Approved for distance education. Prerequisite(s): Admission to Nursing major. Corequisite(s): Junior Level, BSN 1 Courses
