Catalog description

In this course, the student will explore the use of evidence-based practice principles to inform decisions in patient care, the nursing profession, and nursing practice. The basic elements of the research process, human subject advocacy, and dissemination of evidence will be explored. The focus will be on the role of the professional nurse in integrating evidence to inform clinical judgement and improve patient outcomes.
