Classroom Music Techniques

Catalog description

Course focuses on music learning and teaching at the elementary level. Content will include the development of children’s musical understanding in grades PK-6; methods and approaches to teaching general music; unit and lesson planning; developing creativity in young musicians; assessment strategies, techniques, and teaching music to students with special needs. Prerequisite(s): Open to pre-music education and music education majors only.
