Catalog description

This course introduces advanced manufacturing techniques including both micro/nano as well as additive manufacturing techniques. This course provides an insight into the tools necessary for fabricating MEMS/NEMS and the process technologies. This course also introduces additive manufacturing techniques using Laser powder bed fusion, Direct energy deposition, fused filament fabrication, and wire arc-based manufacturing techniques. In this course, students will gain experience in micro/nanofabrication as well as state-of-the-art additive manufacturing techniques. Prerequisite(s): MME 3200 .
