Catalog description

An introduction to engineering design including the entire process from problem definition to a prototype and corresponding documentation. The course introduces variety of topics necessary for future engineers, such as basic techniques of design, reverse engineering, problem solving, design validation, decision-making. In addition, the following topics will be studied: ethical issues in design, career paths, teamwork, data representation and analysis, written, oral, and visual communications. Prerequisite(s): MME 1100 .
