Catalog description

This course introduces the concepts and frameworks that underlie effective managerial judgment, decision making, and negotiation in organizational settings. Drawing from research in management, psychology, and behavioral economics, students will examine how decisions should be made (normative decision making), how they are actually made (descriptive decision making), how to improve them (prescriptive decision making), and how decisions are influenced and agreed upon (negotiation). Emphasis is placed on applying research-based tools to real-world decision making in organizational settings and daily life. Approved for distance education. Prerequisite(s): MGMT 3050 or MGMT 3600
