Catalog description

This course develops writing skills for electronic media formats. Students learn essential research methodologies for documentary preproduction: in-depth content research, field scouting, preliminary interviewing, and development of a bibliography. Students learn basic documentary theories that frame historical development of types of factual presentations of societal, cultural, and political storytelling in a multi-platform world.
