Catalog description

This course examines societal, cultural, political, and technological changes in the late 20th century that created new, diverse opportunities for documentary and non-fiction media formats in today’s globalized environment. Through lectures, readings, and viewings students will learn about new documentary formats and platforms, the significance of documentary for underrepresented groups, and its influence on the advancement of public knowledge.
