Fundamentals of Motion Graphics and Video Compositing covers several topics relating to motion graphics and video compositing, including typography, color theory, design concepts, and animation principles. The classwork combines lectures, readings, exercises, and projects to build a solid technical and aesthetic foundation in video effects. The class is intended to provide students with overarching principles of motion graphics and working a knowledge of industry-standard visual effects software. Approved for distance education. Prerequisite(s): MDIA 1995
