Catalog description

Interdisciplinary seminar that explores human values expressed through literature, performing arts, and visual arts. Emphasis on critical analysis of primary works and the application of critical thinking to understand how and why creative works function in cultural spaces. To this end, special emphasis will be placed on the refinement of higher-order critical thinking skills (i.e., analysis, synthesis, and evaluation) through close reading of and active engagement with both primary and secondary texts. Fulfills the critical thinking applications requirement for 1st year Honors students. Prerequisite(s): HNRS 2010 and admission to BGSU’s Honors College.
