American Collective Memory

Catalog description

In this course, students will explore how the American past is ever-present: in movies and television, on the internet, during political campaigns, on vacation, in family gatherings, and in the street. As a culminating experience, each student will design and complete a research project analyzing a contemporary artifact of American collective memory.
