Catalog description

The course covers the principal cultural, religious, political and economic aspects and developments of the Middle Ages establishing the framework for modern European civilization. It explores the transition from Late Antiquity to Feudalism, the changing relations between Church and State, the development of political institutions, and Europe’s cross-cultural contacts with the Christian and Islamic East. Approved for distance education.
