Catalog description
This course will provide the student with a deeper understanding of pharmacology in healthcare. In this course students will explore pharmacological considerations across the life span. Medications used to prevent disease, promote health, treat acute illness, and manage chronic conditions will be examined. Students will analyze the adverse effects of medications on varied body systems. Students will reflect upon pharmacologic safety, adherence, and advocacy as health and human service professionals. Prerequisite(s): PSYC 1010 , WRIT 1110 or WRIT 1120
