Catalog description

Provides an overview of the child life specialist profession, its mission, core principles, and areas of competencies necessary for professional certification. Introduces the history of the profession, ethical practices, and professional expectations of a child life specialist. This course is taught by a Certified Child Life Specialist and meets one of the requirements of the Child Life Council to become a Certified Child Life Specialist. Approved for distance education. Prerequisite(s): HDFS 2210 or consent of instructor.
