Catalog description
The aging of human society worldwide is rapidly becoming one of the most distinct features of modernity. This course will specifically encourage students to examine the aging of the population and its impact on self and society. Emphasis will be placed on the psychological, cognitive, cultural, and social aspects of the aging process from the standpoint of both the individual and wider society. Commonly held stereotypes, myths, and beliefs about aging will be analyzed.
