Catalog description

Introduction to the atmosphere with an emphasis on the factors that drive our weather and climate. Students apply these factors to better understand shorter term weather phenomena such as air masses, fronts, thunderstorms, hurricanes and blizzards as well as longer term climate phenomena including Earth-Sun relationships, glacial/interglacial cycles, the greenhouse effect and global warming. Approved for Distance Education. Credit cannot be earned for both GEOG-1250 and GEOG 1260 .
