Catalog description

This course explores the technical practices and aesthetic approaches to lighting for motion picture film and digital cameras. Using lecture, demonstration, and practical exercises, the course will examine the relationship between various lighting styles, studio and on-location lighting, and how these various approaches are affected by the medium of the moving image. Prerequisite(s): FILM 2550 or by permission of instructor.
