Catalog description

Theory and techniques of editing image and sound, sound recording, and sound design for film. Juxtaposition of images, sound-image relationships, structure, and rhythmic pace of film images. Use of microphones, audio recorders, and nonlinear digital editing platforms. Extra laboratory hours. Extra Fee. Prerequisite(s): Prior credit in FILM 1610 , FILM 1710 and THFM 1910 , or instructor approval.
