Catalog description

For upper-intermediate-level non-native speakers of English. Students review and practice grammar concepts in the context of writing short essays. With the goal of becoming independent writers, students learn rhetorical concepts, self-editing strategies and academic vocabulary. Students will also become more familiar with American norms of academic honesty and proper citation practices. Admission by placement or advancement from ESOL 1000 . Prerequisites to WRIT courses. Graded S/U. Approved for distance education.
