Catalog description

Fall. Approaches to developing mathematical competencies in all young children, birth-grade 3. Addresses mathematical inquiry and problem-solving experiences, informal and formal explorations, research-based approaches to teaching, and teaching tools including the use of technology and manipulatives. Emphasizes standards-based content and various assessments as the basis for effective teaching and differentiation to meet the needs of all children. Must be taken at BGSU. Prerequisite(s): Admission to Advanced Study in Inclusive Early Childhood. Corequisite(s): EIEC 3300 , EIEC 3310 , EIEC 3330 , EIEC 3340 , and EIEC 3350 .
