Catalog description

Introduces curriculum for preschool children that focuses on the whole child. Examines Developmentally Appropriate Practices (DAP) for all young children and recommended practices for early childhood special education. Discusses a variety of curriculum models and what features may be most effective for particular outcomes and conditions. Focuses on lesson developing plan/curriculum unit using ODE Early Learning Content Standards, and ODE-ELA Content Standards, CAEP/CEC Standards. Emphasizes the instructional activities within play-based and early elementary environments to support the needs of every child. Prerequisite(s): C or better in EDTL 2010 and cumulative GPA of 2.5 or higher.
