Design Thinking for Inclusive Educators

Catalog description

Students will practice and apply the frameworks of Life Design and design thinking to develop ideas and strategies for complex problems of practice in today’s educational environment. Preservice teachers will experience and reflect on problem-based learning as a pedagogical approach, where teaching and learning will be organized around creating meaning within the context of real-world problems and themes. Through these experiences and the Life Design framework, preservice teachers will develop into continuous, collaborative, and reflective learners who can create inclusive learning environments that reflect cultural diversity and multiple perspectives. Prerequisite(s): Admission to the Inclusive PreK-5 Education major.
