Catalog description
Fall. An activity-based exploration of geometry and measurement concepts taught in grades PreK-5. Emphasis is on visualization skills, fundamental geometric concepts, the analysis of shapes and patterns and analyzing and displaying data. Through a problem-solving approach to learning these concepts, students develop a deeper understanding of mathematical concepts required to teach mathematics in elementary school while developing proficiencies in the Standards for Mathematical Practice. Prerequisite(s): C or better in EDTL 1320 and MATH 2130 , and admission to advanced study in Inclusive PreK-5 Education.
