Catalog description
Approaches to support the development of emerging reading, writing, and language skills for all young children. Informal assessments, classroom environments, developmentally appropriate teaching for pre-K through 5th grade. Theoretical perspectives and differentiated instruction regarding print awareness, motivation, oral language development, and comprehension of fictional text. Credit cannot be earned for both EIEC 2130 and EIEC 3130 . Prerequisite(s): C or better in EDTL 2010 and a cumulative GPA of 2.5 or higher.
