Practicum in Middle Grades School Settings

Fall. Seminars and field experiences for Middle Childhood majors designed to further develop the knowledge, skills, and dispositions necessary for successful teaching. Focal areas: professionalism, effective teaching practices, classroom management, and professional development. Students attend campus classes, as well as full-day field site visits early in semester. Intensive daily field experience, 7:00 AM - 4:00 PM, during last third of semester. S/U only. Transportation required. Prerequisite(s): Admission to the Middle Childhood methods block; requires FBI and BCI background checks valid for full year.
