Introduction to Teaching Elementary School Mathematics

Catalog description

An examination of numeracy, number, and numerical relationships necessary for algebraic understanding in the mathematics curriculum of grades prekindergarten through five. Emphasis will be placed on using multiple representations in mathematics, developing understanding of mathematical structures, and fostering mathematical communication skills needed for teaching. One three-hour lecture. Only open to EDHD majors.
