Catalog description
This course introduces several aspects of designing VLSI chips using CMOS technology. Course covers CMOS device characteristics and timing. Combinational and sequential digital systems are designed and built using cells as building blocks. CAD software tools are used for laboratory exercises to design, layout, simulation, and testing of integrated circuits. One and one-half hours lecture and three hours laboratory. Prerequisite(s): ECE 2415 with grade of C or better, and ECE 2495 with grade of C or better.
