Introduction to Artificial Intelligence (AI) and modern electric energy systems; Artificial neural networks, Support vector machines, Deep learning methods; Application of AI methods to electric load forecasting, faults identifications, control of renewable energy systems. Simulations using MATLAB, Python and power system software. One and one-half hours of lecture and three hours laboratory. Prerequisite(s): CS 1010
