Introduction to copper-based cabling for voice and data. Understanding of industry standards, types of media and cabling, as well as signal transmission. Includes terminating cables, installing jacks, and testing cables. Planning and installing structured cabling for networking. Understanding documentation, design, and installation issues. One hour lecture and two hours lab. Extra fee. Prerequisite(s): none.
