Catalog description
Addresses current issues to advance understanding of ways nature and the environment influence communication and society, and how we communicate about the environment influences ecological relations. Explores cultural constructions of “nature” through texts ranging from discursive to visual symbols. Links theory to case studies and community engagement learning on communicative aspects of environmental issues from local or regional to international. Prerequisite(s): COMM 1020 and COMM 2010 or consent of instructor. Credit cannot be earned for both COMM 4022 and MC 5022.
