Asian Arts of Healing

Catalog description

The course studies the arts of healing from Asia, including acupuncture, herbal medicine, yoga, Tai-chi , and meditation, all of which were developed and/or discovered in pre-modern Asia. These arts of healing consist of important aspects of Asian civilizations in that they often are entangled with religion, philosophy, and social psychology in response to illness and diseases.
