Introduction to Audiology

Catalog description

Comprehensive diagnostic hearing testing is a cornerstone to the field of audiology. This course addresses multiple aspects of audiological assessment, including a) understanding the anatomy and physiology of the auditory system; b) performing pure-tone, speech recognition, and electrophysiological tests; and c) differentiating diseases/disorders of the ear and their associated hearing problems. Prerequisite(s): CDIS major or minor or permission of department chair.
