Course designed to increase understanding of evolution and the nature of science, with extensive content-rich materials, interactive exercises, primary source readings and in-depth exploration of scientific concepts. Guided by the National Science Education Standards; includes practical experience in teaching evolution and the nature of science. Does not fulfill the Biology group 2 requirement for majors. Offered on-line only. Prerequisite(s): BIOL 1040 or BIOL 2050 or equivalent or consent of instructor.
