Critical Issues in World Art

Catalog description

This seminar will focus on a specified thematic consideration of arts and cultures in Africa, Asia, Oceania, Caribbean, and/or the Americas. Particular topic may include arts of various media and materials and/or those created within selected religious practices and belief systems. Thematic considerations may include issues of power, gender, or contemporary arts, or a particular media such as textiles or performance. Repeatable once when topics vary. Extra Fee. Prerequisite(s): one ARTH 37##-level course, or consent of instructor.
