Jet Transition & Familiarization

Catalog description

Fall, Spring, Summer. Concurrent enrollment in AERT 4050 allowed. Students will apply concepts of Crew Resources Management while transitioning into the multi-pilot flight deck. Students will learn flight deck flows, Standard Operating Procedures, multi-pilot checklist usage, and FAA Operation Specifications. This is accomplished through lecture and as a paired crew in an interactive CRJ 700 simulator; with focus on safety, high altitude aerodynamics, and aircraft systems integration. Grade of C or higher required. Extra lab fee. Prerequisite(s): AERT 4050
