Topics include: The FAA’s systems approach, The regulatory role of SMS, the concept of administrative law, The Federal Register and Code of Federal Regulations System, aviation regulatory history, The Federal Regulators, The Federal Aviation Administration (FAA), the rulemaking pathway, Notice of Proposed Rulemaking (NPRM) process, Special Federal Aviation Regulations (SFAR’s), Airworthiness Directives, FAA Certificates and Authorizations, Oversight and Enforcement.
