Discussion of theories underlying financial reporting, including financial accounting concept statements and their relevance in the standard-setting process. Evaluation of accounting procedures related to measurement and reporting of financial conditions, operational results and cash flows. Analysis of business combinations, consolidations, foreign currency translation, stock compensation, governmental accounting and other selected topics. Prerequisite(s): C or better in ACCT 4220 or ACCT 5220
