Presents advanced topics in the management of the surgical patient. Provides laboratory experience in management of anesthesia and surgical assistance in addition to preoperative and postoperative care of patients. Lecture 2 hours per week. Laboratory 3 per week. Total 5 hours per week. Prerequisite: VET 121 . An additional career and technical education course specific fee of $50.00 per credit hour applies to this course. The price is discounted 50% to $25.00 per credit hour for the 2026-27 academic year only.
