Catalog description

Focuses on the health and wellness of diverse individuals, families, and the community throughout the lifespan. Covers concepts that focus on client attributes and preferences regarding healthcare. Emphasizes population-focused care. Provides supervised learning experiences in college nursing laboratories, clinical/community settings, and/or cooperating agencies, and/or simulated environments. Lecture 2 hours per week. Laboratory 3 hours per week. Total 5 hours per week. Prerequisites: BIO 142 , NSG 100 , NSG 106 , NSG 130 and NSG 200 . Co-requisite: BIO 150 or BIO 205 . An additional career and technical education course specific fee of $50.00 per credit hour applies to this course. The price is discounted 50% to $25.00 per credit hour for the 2026-27 academic year only.
