Catalog description

Examines mechanical behavior of bars, rods, shafts, tubes and beams subjected to various types of loading. Introduces experimental stress analysis techniques, such as the use of strain gages and data reduction. Laboratory 2 hours per week. Total 2 hours per week. Prerequisite: EGR 130 or EGR 240 . An additional career and technical education course specific fee of $25.00 per credit hour applies to this course. The price is discounted 50% to $12.50 per credit hour for the 2026-27 academic year only.
