Catalog description
Develops basic drawing skills and understanding of visual language through studio instruction/lecture. Introduces concepts such as line, proportion, space, perspective, value and composition as applied to still life, landscape and figure. Uses drawing media such as pencil, charcoal and ink wash. Includes field trips and gallery assignments as appropriate. This is a UCGS transfer course. Lecture 1 hour per week. Studio Instruction 4 hours per week. Total 5 hours per week.
