Catalog description

This course includes foundational knowledge and skill application for EMR. It includes cognitive and practical knowledge and skills needed for emergency response personnel to render basic medical treatment, under medical direction, under emergency conditions at various sites. Course curriculum aligns with EMR NEMS Scope of Practice 2019, NEMS EMR Education Standards 2021, and Wisconsin EMR Scope of Practice 2023. Successful completion prepares the student for Wisconsin EMR Certification and, if desired, the National Registry EMR written exam.
