Catalog description

3 cr. hrs.; 3 lecture hours; 0 lab hours per week. Prerequisite: Enrollment in the Veterinary Technology program Focuses on understanding the mathematics required for veterinary technology. Topics include algebraic concepts and procedures (equations, ratios, proportions, percentage problems, and formulas), geometric concepts and methods (systems of measurements and conversions, area, and volume), problem-solving techniques (dosage calculations, flow-rate calculations, and angle measurements), and an introduction to statistical methods and procedures (measures of central tendency, range, standard deviation, and constructing and interpreting graphs).
