Catalog description
3 cr. hrs.; 2 lecture hours; 2 lab hours per week. This course introduces the student to basic anatomy and physiology of common animal species in veterinary medicine. The student will become familiar with the basic nutritional needs of animals in various life stages. Through hands-on laboratories, the students will be able to recognize common parasites like fleas and ticks. Students will be able to collect specimens and set up blood, urine, and fecal tests.
