Therapeutic Exercise I

Catalog description

3 cr. hrs.; 1 lecture hours; 4 lab hours per week. Prerequisite: A "C" or better in the following courses: PTA 202, PTA 203, PTA 204, and BIOL 142 or BIOL 146 Study of the principles, physiological effects, modification, and progression of a variety of therapeutic exercise utilized in physical therapy including strengthening, flexibility, and aerobic conditioning. Emphasis is placed on exercise prescription and guidelines for patients with orthopedic and cardiopulmonary conditions.
